Living Faith Chapel - History

Where we came from and, to an extent, where we feel God is leading now.

Living Faith Chapel is an independent church.  It was established in 1983 by Galen and Jean Lehman along with Eldon and Betty Martin and several other couples who were meeting as a Home Group.  At that time we were affiliated with the Franklin Mennonite Conference.  We are now part of The Global Community Network which consists of 7 churches in the Pennsylvania, Maryland area with an Apostolic & Prophetic board of directors giving oversight.

The land the building is sitting on was donated in 1986 by Albert and Dorothy Wadel.  In 1987 the first building (which is now used as our prayer room and for our youth ministry at the lower level) was built and we met there until we outgrew it.  In 1997 we built the present building where we now meet today.

Some words that have been spoken over Living Faith Chapel include:

“We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us.”
— 1 Thessalonians 2:8
